The Cats Protection League is a registered charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming stray and abandoned cats and kittens.
We have a stringent homing process to ensure the best possible care for cats that may not have had the best start in life. Some of them are shy and will not be suitable for large and noisy households. We know our cats well and try to match them to people and their homes.
You will be required to complete a short questionnaire upon arrival at the cattery and most of the family will need to meet the prospective new cat. If you have children, we need to see how they interact with the cat and we may also need to meet your dog, if you have one.
As we want the best for them, if we believe a cat you are interested in will not suit your circumstances, we will let you know.
There are plenty of cats available to approved homes and the charges are:
- up to 12 months is $70
- 1-5 years is $70
- 5 years and over is $50
- Cat of the Month is $40
All cats have been vet checked, microchipped, desexed, treated for any illness, vaccinated, wormed and treated for fleas. Cats over 12 months are also tested for feline aids and leukemia.
We advise you to ring and discuss your requirements with our staff first as special conditions apply to some of our cats. We will always take a cat back if it does not work out in your household.
