Possum is about 9 years old and has come into CPL care because his owner has gone into a rest home. Possum’s owner rescued him after the quakes so they had a very special bond.
Possum is a big, friendly but quite shy boy who will suit a quiet, adult home. He may take a while to settle, and will be happiest where there is usually someone around.
Adopting an older cat can be very rewarding and they make great companions. As they are less active they tend to spend more time indoors and are less likely to get lost or injured. They are particularly suitable for owners who are themselves less active and/or spend most of their time at home.
