Pearl is about 10 years old and was left behind by her owners, along with several other cats, before coming into CPL care.
Pearl is shy with strangers and easily startled, but affectionate and very smoochy once she trusts you so she will blossom with a patient new owner. She was being bullied by the other cats from her household so will be best as an only cat in a quiet adult home.
Adopting an older cat can be very rewarding and they make great companions. As they are less active they tend to spend more time indoors and are less likely to get lost or injured. They are particularly suitable for owners who are themselves less active and/or spend most of their time at home.
