Gene was eleven years old and struggling with arthritis when he was adopted from our old, colder cattery four years ago. His arthritis is now under control, and he is living his best life and enjoying his retirement:
We can’t believe that today marks four years since Gene came to live with us – of course back then we lived in Canterbury but he has certainly taken to the Otago lifestyle since we moved last year. He’s still a bit chubby and spending most of his time asleep but he is in good health and loves to cuddle. Hard to believe he is 15. I’ve attached some photos – he still has the catnip ball you gave him the day he came home with us! Thank you to your team for all you do, and for bringing this big old gingernut into our lives!
