ADOPTED: Sam

  • by

Sam is about 7 years old and was surrendered to CPL as his owner was unable to continue with his care.

Sam is a super-friendly and confident boy who tends to dribble with happiness when being petted. He is looking for an indoor (or similar) home and a new owner who can offer him lots of affection. With his laid-back temperament, Sam seems to be good with dogs.

Routine testing on admission revealed that Sam is FIV positive, although otherwise in good health. FIV is a virus which affects a cat’s immune system and is not infectious to humans. It can remain dormant for long periods and many FIV cats live long and happy lives. However, it can make them more vulnerable to infection and, if they get into fights, it can be passed on to other cats. For these reasons, Sam will need regular health checks and will best suit an indoor lifestyle.

Sam has been vet checked, desexed, tested for feline leukaemia, wormed, defleaed, microchipped and vaccinated. Our cats are not free: 1-7 years old cost $90, 8 years and older cost $70, Sam has been discounted a little to help him find a home. Please note that we do not have Eftpos available but we do accept payment via internet banking. We will always take Sam back if it does not work out.

Sam is being rehomed from foster care. If you are interested in adopting, please contact the cattery on 384 0006 as a first step.
